My American-German boss is currently in Spain coming from Portugal and he was posting some photos of his trip. As a guy interested in Spain, I traced his route and search the web for some information that I could perhaps give to help him on his journey. As I did, the very website that I’ve visited which is https://www.followthecamino.com/camino_tours/camino-portugues suddenly appeared on my Facebook newsfeed.

FB tracks searches.

So yeah, Facebook’s algorithm uses our searches to identify what to put in our newsfeeds. Makes sense.
