The Longest Month

Missed plans, anger management, excessive leaves, incentives schemes, new friendster blog, facial cleansers, and an unlucky time for an increase. This month of June was not just a month of brides and grooms, not just of Independence and of Father’s Day celebration and the start of school. This month has also become the month of cursed traffic and worthless roadworks, of new textmates and new friends, of “Transformers” and “Next.”

It was not a busy month, but it was exhausting, saddening and frightening. It was a time wherein I don’t know what I was doing and I don’t know where I was going. Even the page layout applications have shown their downs. Framemaker 7.2 has exhibited a bug in creating black spot color. It was actually creating a CMYK color instead of a spot color. Acrobat seemed to have become a stranger to me when it comes to converting color PDFs to grayscale using Pitstop and Quite-a-Box plug-in. Pitstop wasn’t able to convert embedded colored images to grayscale, which Quite-a-Box was able to do. That activity caused us an additional 6 hours for color manipulation which was very unnecessary.

I hope the coming month will be better.

  1. I actually derived the term “The Longest Month” from the 1962 war film “The Longest Day” where many young Allied soldiers of World War II died at the Omaha beach. For those young soldiers, that day was their longest and last day on earth. I simply connotated the term to a person having a worse day, or month in my case.

  2. I envy you friend.

The mone of June was not enough for me. I think that the time I have in that month was really short.

Working 50kilometers away really eats up a lot of your time. I have learn to reclaim this travel time by securing pure bus travels towards home.

The travel time will add around 30-45 mins up to 1 hour but I can do a nice sleep on that bumpy bus.

Doing so reclaims my lost 3-4 hours of time per day.

Time is also short, I need to deliver fruits daily to a special person. Sit in her soft sofa chair and tell her some stories to entertain her a bit.

    I wish I have a time extender.
