Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024

A few months back, I took a 1-year subscription to Crunchyroll because I find Netflix lacking the animes I wish to watch.

Subscription is quite cheap in my opinion at ₱999/year.

This is the first time I’ve watched Crunchyroll’s Anime Awards. I’ve only heard about it when I got a notification from Crunchyroll.

From what I’ve read, it started way back in 2017 which makes the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards the 8th of the annual event.

Anyway, long story short, it was a splendid 3-hour event. One that I will always look forward to every year.

Based on what I’ve observed there seem to be 12 major awards. Some, which I think are minor awards, were for anime character roles and voice actors of various regions.

Here, in alphabetical order, are the 12 major Crunchyroll anime awards, with Jujutsu Kaisen bagging 3 of them.

I’ve watched most of the animes on the list except for Suzume and Buddy Daddies.

For me, Oshi No Ko, Bocchi The Rock!, Demon Slayer, and One Piece are deserving of the awards.

Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan are good too. However, I found myself lacking the enthusiasm to finish both. Well at least for Attack on Titan because Jujutsu Kaisen is still ongoing. 

Still, I believe they deserve the awards. Even Vinland Saga which didn’t get any was also deserving. It has a great plot.
